What are Tesla Model Y Boot Storage Bins and how do they work?
Tesla Model Y Boot Storage Bins are custom-moulded organisers that fit into the unused side cavities of the Model Y boot. Each bin is made from 100% waterproof TPE rubber and comes with a carpeted felt lid. The set turns wasted cavity space into secure, hidden storage for shoes, tools, cables and charging gear, so loose items stop sliding around when you corner.
Do these boot storage bins fit the Tesla Model Y properly?
Yes. These Boot Storage Bins are custom-moulded for the Tesla Model Y, so each bin drops straight into the left and right boot compartments. There is no gap, no rattle and no trimming required. The tailored fit means the bins sit flush and stay in place under normal driving.
Is installation difficult, and do I need tools?
No tools are needed. Tesla Model Y Boot Storage Bins install in seconds — simply slip each bin into the left and right boot compartments and fit the carpeted lids on top. There is no drilling, no adhesive and no modification to your vehicle, so the bins can be removed just as easily for cleaning.
Are the Tesla Model Y Boot Storage Bins waterproof?
Yes. The bins are built from 100% waterproof TPE rubber, a durable material that contains spills, mud, snow and wet gear. Liquids stay inside the bin instead of soaking into your Model Y boot carpet. Cleaning takes seconds — lift the bin out, rinse or wipe it down, and drop it back in.
Will the bins look out of place in my boot?
No. Tesla Model Y Boot Storage Bins use soft felt-topped carpeted lids that blend with the factory carpet lining of the Model Y boot. The result is a built-in, OEM-style finish. With the lids closed, the compartments look like standard factory equipment rather than an aftermarket accessory.
Can these bins keep valuables hidden?
Yes. The carpeted lids fully conceal the contents of each compartment, keeping valuables out of sight from anyone looking through the windows. This discreet storage design suits tools, chargers, cables and personal items you would rather not leave visible in the Tesla Model Y boot.
Do the storage bins take up boot space?
No — they add usable space. Tesla Model Y Boot Storage Bins fill the side cavities that would otherwise go unused, freeing up the main boot floor for larger loads such as luggage, prams and shopping. Small items live in the side bins, so the flat floor stays clear.
What is included in the set?
Each set of Tesla Model Y Boot Storage Bins includes two waterproof TPE rubber storage bins and two matching carpeted felt lids — one for the left side cavity and one for the right. Nothing else is needed to complete the installation.
